Very proud of how well we put the ball in play last night! Hit well, both games, and made some improvement. There are little things we need to work on, and we did look rusty at times, but I am pleased with the overall results!

I was very pleased by all aspects of the games last night! We hit and fielded the ball extremely well, and won both games. Maroon by a score of 16-3, and Gold won 15-4!

The game vs Woodford County, on Monday, April 10th, has been postponed, and will be made up at a later date.

I thought we showed a great deal of improvement last night! The girls put the ball in play, and played solid defense. We won't get every call, but they showed composure and spirit and I was very pleased with the results!

No practice today, but I do think we will be able to play tomorrow night. Bring all your stuff in case, and I will let you know as soon as possible.

Our game is at Lykins Park in Winchester. Here are the directions:

Take 627 in from Paris. After crossing over I-64, turn left in about ¼ mile at the light on to the new connector road (not sure if it has a name yet). Go about another ½ mile and take a left at the first light on Mt. Sterling Rd. Lykins Park is on the right in about another ½ mile. Pass the first small parking lot on your right and drive into the main parking lot. The softball field is on your right.

THERE ARE NO BATHROOMS AT THE PARK. WATER HAS NOT BEEN TURNED ON YET. PLEASE PREPARE ACCORDINGLY!!!!!

I was very pleased with the level of effort the girls showed last night! While the final score was not in our favor, considering the hectic nature of our practices so far, and our inabiity to get onto the field, I was excited to see such drastic improvement in such a short period of time!

A short note to let you know that we will be outside on Tuesday, February 15th, for the beginning of practice. Players must have long pants, long sleve shirts, and some type of jacket. All softball equipment is needed as well. Looking forward to the first week!

Welcome Players, parents, and fans! I am excited and anxious for the season to begin! Practice the first four days will be a short testing period to get you used to how I do things in practice and what I expect out of my players. Remember, Attitude, Effort, and Ability is what I am looking for, but the first two are the most important! More to come later, see you in school!
